With the elevated Seekoei Estuary levels, the causeway is back in the spotlight with residents calling for the Seekoei Estuary mouth to be opened. Frustrated residents are forced to cross the flooded (salt water) causeway as the alternative route is not suitable for cars, especially in rainy conditions.
